Highest Selling Cars in India

India’s car market stayed on the fast track in July 2025, as popular models continued to fly off dealership floors. Maruti Suzuki dominated the charts once again, but Hyundai and Mahindra made sure they weren’t left behind, posting impressive sales of their own.

Here’s a breakdown of the top-selling cars in India last month:

Maruti Suzuki Dzire – 20,895 units
The Dzire remains a hot favourite among Indian families, thanks to its excellent mileage, roomy interiors, and budget-friendly price. It ruled the sales chart in July with nearly 21,000 units sold — proving there’s still strong demand for compact sedans.

Hyundai Creta – 16,898 units
Hyundai’s Creta continues to be a blockbuster in the mid-size SUV segment. With its bold design, premium features, and strong brand appeal, the Creta comfortably secured the second spot on the list.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga – 16,604 units
Looking for a spacious 7-seater that won’t break the bank? That’s exactly why the Ertiga remains a crowd-puller. It hits the sweet spot between practicality, comfort, and affordability — ideal for larger families.

Maruti Suzuki Wagon R – 14,710 units
This tall-boy hatchback just doesn’t go out of style. Known for its roomy cabin and excellent fuel economy, the Wagon R continues to be a top pick, especially for city commuters.

Maruti Suzuki Swift – 14,200 units
With its sporty design and zippy performance, the Swift is still going strong. Backed by Maruti’s wide service network and reliability, it remains a trusted choice for young buyers and small families.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza – 14,100 units
The Brezza is one of Maruti’s strongest contenders in the compact SUV space. Packed with features and city-ready looks, it’s the go-to for those wanting a stylish urban drive with weekend versatility.

Mahindra Scorpio – 13,800 units
Built tough and made for Indian roads, the Scorpio continues to shine — especially in Tier-2 cities and rural belts. Its muscular design and no-nonsense performance keep it in high demand.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx – 12,900 units
One of Maruti’s newer offerings, the Fronx, is gaining traction among younger buyers. It blends crossover appeal with modern design and tech-forward features — a fresh choice in a crowded market.

Tata Nexon – 12,855 units
Despite facing stiff competition, the Nexon is holding its ground in the compact SUV race. With its five-star safety rating, rugged looks, and feature-loaded variants, it remains a solid performer for Tata Motors.
